From temperate office or control room environments to the shock and vibration of shipboard and military vehicle applications to the temperature extremes of unprotected desert installations, ETI's products have become the Standard in today's rugged power applications.

These temperature hardened power products are in service around the world in numerous unconditioned, hostile environments. Most other commercial UPS and Power Conditioning products are designed to controlled environments such as those found in computer rooms. Most of these are designed to operate at a standard room temperature of 20-25°C (+68°F to 77°F). The BEST of these have operating temperature ranges between 0ºC and +40ºC (+32ºF to +104ºF). However, unregulated conditions such as outdoor installations, environmental control failures, or vehicle mounted applications typically cause those units to fail due to stressful temperature extremes. Utilizing our certified environmental test chamber, ETI has designed and qualified the ExtremeUPS line to operate in temperatures from -40ºC to +70ºC (-40ºF to +158ºF) and beyond.

ETI's In-House Testing Facilities
Most of ETI's competitors design and manufacture their products to commercial standards for controlled "room temperature" environments. Because our customers have more strenuous equipment requirements, ETI invests in test facilities not typically found in some competing companies. Our engineers carefully employ heat sinks and regulate

In addition to the extreme temperatures, our units have been designed to and successfully passed standards 167 and 901 for shock and vibration, standard 461 for EMI/RFI, and 1399 for shipboard and submarine applications. They have additionally gone through the notorious barge tests with explosive underwater detonations, plus the grueling Belgium Block off road truck test.

ETI is proud to be fully ISO 9001: 2008 CertifiedETI's Environmental Test Chambers
We utilize several environmental testing chambers to design and qualify our products for use in the actual extreme temperatures needed for given applications. -40ºC to +70ºC (-40ºF to +158ºF) Rackmount units can be put into our "Oven Style" G-Series Elite Environmental Chamber by Russells Technical Products. In addition we use several Lindgren EMI/RFI Shielding Rooms for additional types of testing. We also employ a third custom built temperature chamber for developing engines and generators.

Energy Technologies, Inc. Power Products

In addition to our ExtremeUPS® line, we offer our PowerStation™ UPS line, ideally suited for industrial, defense, and telecommunications applications requiring high reliability power in a NEMA cabinet, rugged rack mount, fixed mount or portable configuration. Available in power ratings from 1000 to 10,000 VA, these heavy duty units occupy a minimum of space and are light weight in design. Internally, all major components are well secured and electrically insulated to prevent damage due to shock and vibration. The internal input isolation transformer provides for both domestic and international voltages. The LED arrays keep the operator informed as to the unit's status including load and battery levels.
